Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Opes (the "App"), or by registering for our Android waitlist at opesapp.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

Opes is a personal finance management mobile application that allows users to track income and expenses, set savings goals, and view financial reports. The App is available on iOS via the App Store, with Android coming soon. We also offer a waitlist for individuals interested in early access to the Android release.

3. Android Waitlist

Joining the Android waitlist does not guarantee access to the Opes application. Early Android access is offered at our sole discretion and availability may be limited. Any pre-release Android build is provided "as is" and may contain bugs, errors, or incomplete features.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Android waitlist at any time without notice or liability.

4. Account Registration

  • Core features are available without an account (offline mode).
  • An account is required for Opes Pro cloud features (backup and sync).
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
  • You must provide accurate information during registration.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Free tier: Available to all users at no charge, subject to usage limits (30 transactions per month, 1 active goal, 2 recurring transactions).

Opes Pro: A paid subscription that unlocks unlimited usage and cloud features. Available as:

  • Monthly: $4.99 per month
  • Annual: $39.99 per year
  • Lifetime: $74.99 one-time non-consumable purchase

Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID or Google Play account and auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You may manage or cancel your subscription in your device's app store account settings.

No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods except as required by applicable law. If you believe a charge is in error, contact jalgabriel.dev@gmail.com.

6. User Data

  • You retain full ownership of all financial data you enter into the App.
  • We do not claim any rights to your personal financial data.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter.

7. Not Financial Advice

The App is a personal finance tracking tool only. Nothing in the App constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Opes is not a registered financial advisor or broker. Always consult a qualified professional before making any financial decisions.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
  • Use the App for any illegal or unauthorised purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts.
  • Transmit malicious code or interfere with the App's functionality.
  • Use the App to harm, harass, or defraud others.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, logos, and software associated with Opes — including the name "Opes", the app icon, and all application features — are the exclusive property of Opes and its creators. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Opes intellectual property without prior written permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DATA WILL NOT BE LOST.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OPES AND ITS CREATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP OR ANY DATA LOSS, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

12. Privacy

Your use of Opes is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from app settings → Profile → Delete Account.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via in-app notification or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Opes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before any formal proceedings are initiated.
